Anyone who knows me knows that I love summer! Like, I really LOVE summer. I wish it lasted forever. To me, everything about summer is full of light, warmth, and happiness.
Then the temps start dropping. The mornings get cooler and crisper (hello sweater weather). The days get shorter. (That one really bugs me.) It starts getting too cold for me to crochet outside, even with a cardigan and scarf.
And then…it happens. I have to turn the heat on in the house. *cue the sobbing* The only things that keep the joy alive for me are the scented candles and the promise of fun and festive holidays around the corner.
So, for all of you summer-lovers like me out there, I hope this roundup of free patterns brings a little bit of joy to the fading summer days and some excitement despite the last bit of warmth and sunshine that you are clinging to. These designs really are fantastic and can instill excitement for the fall season…
…into any summer lover’s heart!
