Before You Start
To keep the seam fairly straight, we will alternate where we put our first and last stitch in a couple rows. The first SC of each row is in the same stitch as your join, unless otherwise stated. In the rows where you skip the first stitch, your last SC will be squished in next to your starting chain.

The brim naturally wants to flip upward, so I like to block it to help it lay flatter. Alternatively, crocheting row 13 in the back loop helps the brim turn more downward.

There are so many ways you can use these fun tiny witch hats. Here are a few ideas to get your creative juices pumping:

  • Add one to a crochet plushie for instant spooky charm
  • String several together to make a whimsical Halloween garland
  • Attach to a headband for a festive Halloween accessory
  • Set on top of a pumpkin as a cute seasonal topper
  • Clip to an alligator clip for a wearable mini witch hat
  • Pop one on a mug for a cozy little mug hat moment
  • Attach to a keychain to use as party favors

Changing up the yarn could also be fun! Use Bernat Blanket yarn for a chunky witch hat or go smaller with fingering weight yarn and make little crochet witch hat earrings.
