If you have a crocheter in your life and you want to get them an epic Christmas gift this year, check out this quick “gifts for crocheters” gift guide!
New year means updated crocheter wish list!! You may recognize some of these items if you’ve been here since LAST Christmas, but I only left them on there because they are REALLY great gifts!
There are lots of brand new crochet gift ideas though! Feel free to take a look then email the whole thing to your loved ones so they know what to get you this Christmas!
This post may contain affiliate links, meaning I may recieve a small commission from purchases made, at no extra cost to you.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Gift giving is in full swing- and there’s nothing more satisfying than seeing someone’s face light up after opening your gift!
Since sometimes people outside of the maker community don’t exactly know WHAT to get yarnie folk for Christmas, I have made it super simple!
Here is a list of all my favorites goodies, gadgets, and gizmos that I use on a regular (if not daily) basis as a crochet designer and entrepreneur. There’s also a few of my Christmas asks thrown in there too!
1. Clover Amour Crochet Hooks
These are by far my favorite hooks to work with. The rubber handle helps the hook stay put in your hand while you’re working and the steel hooks glid through the yarn like a hot knife glides through butter. I honestly think switching to these hooks made me crochet a lot faster!
2. Clover Tunisian Crochet Hooks Set
I am obsessed with Tunisian crochet! The stitches look so much like knitting and the yarn works up so beautifully. I love my clover Tunisian hooks set. This set includes interchangeable cords and stoppers so its everything you would need to start playing around with Tunisian crochet.
3. Addi Express King Size Knitting Machine
Ok, so this bad boy is on my want list!! Taylor has one and she loves it. I am so jealous of all the twisted headbands and tube scarfs I’ve been seeing made from the knitting machines. I would love to get my hands on one of these!!
There’s also a cheaper brand called the Sentro 48 Needle. I haven’t tried it myself but I have a smaller Sentro and like it a lot!
4. Crafty Merch
Heeeeyyyyoooo of course I had to add some Crafty Merch on the gifts for crocheters gift list! Let everyone know just how addicted you really are without having to actually talk to people 😉 Im only thinking of my beautifully introverted friends here 😉
5. Dymo 4xl Label Printer
If you have an Etsy shop or plan on opening one in 2020, I highly recommend a Dymo label printer! Before I got this printer, I was printing, cutting, and taping all my labels onto my packages one at a time. It was a nightmare. This thing is a total time saver!
7. Crafty Stickers
I started designing and selling Crafty Stickers this year and I am blown away by yall’s response to them!! Each sticker is made from a thick, durable vinyl that protects your stickers from scratching, rain & sunlight. They’re also dishwasher safe! You can stick them on your favorite water bottle, Mac book, on the back of your phone, wherever!
8. Apple Air Pods
I love my Apple Air Pods Gabe got me a couple of Christmas’s ago, and they really help me be more productive! I can listen to some 90’s music or a podcast episode while crocheting and if I have to hop up to grab a new skein, I don’t have to pause my entertainment!!
9. Modern Crochet by Debrosse
Yall. I was lucky enough to get my hands on an early copy of this book and it is AMAZING!!! Every crocheter needs this book as a reference man it is so detailed and helpful! This book is for sure one of my top gifts for crocheters, especially beginner crocheters!
10. Business Boutique by Christy Wright
I couldn’t be more thankful for this book. I got it last Christmas and I swear it was the spark that ignited my business growth in 2019. I will always be grateful for Christy, her podcast and her book!
11. Photography Lights
Getting a sew of photography lights, like these, really stepped up my photography game. I am now able to video or take quality pictures when its pitch black outside!
12. Vinyl Photography Backdrop
This is the white wood vinyl backdrop I use in my photos and videos. I have been using backdrops from this shop for 3 years now and I love them!
13. Knit Picks Yarn Swift
Here is another wish list item for me. I don’t currently have a swift, and I love the look of this one (you know gram-worthy).
This would be so handy to have when you buy hand-dyed yarn, or if you want to make some hanks in your brand colors as photo props!
14. Namastey Makers Backpack
I never leave my house without this backpack! It’s so handy to crochet on the go! Mine is in the color petal. This had to be on my gifts for crocheters list becuase it’s kinda expensive and would make an amazing gift!
15. A Merry Little Crochet Christmas EBook
I don’t have ENOUGH nice things to say about this beautifully designed and written croche pattern ebook by Sara Dee Crochet! Each of the 6 Christmas themed patterns is super adorable, easy to understand and I was able to make the penguin in just 2 evenings!
16. Clover Pom Pom Maker
If you haven’t tried making a yarn pom with a pom maker, you have got to get your hands on a set of these for Christmas! They make making poms so much easier, faster and more uniform! You can check out my pom pom crown tutorial to see these babies in action.
17. Ottlite Floor Lamp
I bought this baby a couple of years ago, and I love it! Crocheting with poor lighting is nearly impossible, not to mention bad for your eyes. This makes it so much easier to see and it’s adjustable!
18. Proud Hooker Hoodie
I think this is the most comfortable sweatshirt I own! And it sports my yarn obsession! This hoodie from The Hook Nook is a must-have for the Maker Christmas Wish List this year!
19. Addi Express Knitting Machine
I bought myself one of these bad boys as a gift to myself this year and I am so glad I did! I make all kinds of fun things like the Pumpkin Bow Topper, the Addi Bow, and a bunch of other things I haven’t even shown you guys yet!
This size is also perfect for making baby headbands and coffee cozies too! And they crank out so quick…. LITERALLY!
20. Pretty Punch Needle
Last on the list is the brand new book by my friend Andie, Pretty Punch Needle. Not only is this book extremely beautiful to look at with all its high-quality photos and instructions, but it’s also very easy to understand! If you are wanting to learn about the art of punch needle this book would be the best place to start!
I hope you enjoyed the updated “gifts for crocheters” 2020 gift guide! Anything from this list would make an awesome gift for any crocheter this holiday season!
