I tested two fun fur yarns from Amazon – Here’s what I found out

Finding the right faux fur yarn for your crochet project can be hard. Here is a fur yarn review of two brands I found on Amazon.

A couple of months ago I released the Crafty Christmas Slippers pattern.

I shared with you how you can easily turn them into Grich-inspired slippers by using lime green Bernat blanket yarn and lime green Go For Faux.

Sadly, the Go For Faux yarn I had in my stash has been discontinued so I wanted to look around and see if I could find some alternative faux fur yarn that you could use, that is still available for purchase.

I found these two different brands on Amazon and decided to do a faux fur yarn review!

The NICEEC yarn is in the color “Spring Green”. It has 35 yards/50gms of yarn per skein and you get two skiens per pack.

The Baby Bear Fur Yarn is in the color “Lime Green”. It has 73 yards/100gms of yarn per skein and you get two skeins per pack.

They both worked up great with the Crafty Boho Slipper pattern!

I asked my family which one they liked more, and we all ended up picking the Baby Bear Fur Yarn in Lime Green. It was the most grinch-like to us 🙂

However, either one would be a great alternative! Which one do you like best?

I used the NICEEC yarn when I made my crafty boho santa hat a couple years ago, I found it to be super easy to work with (and I am not a fan of faux fur yarn)
