One of the best things about summer is all the fruit! Celebrate the warm weather with this fruity list of 16 free crochet fruit patterns.
“Be a pineapple. Stand tall, wear a crown, and stay sweet on the inside.”
Unknown
IIIIIt’sssss SUMMERTIME, y’all!!! Woohoo! Sarah from A Plush Pineapple here with my most favorite free patterns roundup yet! I even tried to talk Ashley into an ALL PINEAPPLE roundup, but we settled on summer fruits instead! Grab your crochet hook, this one is a good one.
Let’s talk about that quote for a moment. It’s on every pattern that I publish. You want to know why? Okay, okay, maybe it’s partially because it’s pineapple-related…BUT…here’s the deeper reason.
Life is hard. Bad circumstances come your way. People try to tear you down (especially when you’re succeeding). So often, you are misunderstood by the VERY PEOPLE you are trying to serve and help. And all you can do, is stand tall, wear a crown, and stay sweet on the inside.
Stand tall by realizing that you have something to offer the world. You are here for a reason. You may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but you are SOMEONE’S cup of tea.
Wear a crown by realizing that you deserve success and celebration as much as the next mompreneur! Your victories may be small ones but celebrate them! Don’t get caught up in other people’s successes that you lose sight of your own goals!
Stay sweet on the inside by never responding to hatred with hatred. Love conquers all, my friends. The only way to fight back when you’re challenged with accusations of “You stole my pattern,” or “The download didn’t work, so you must be trying to rip me off,” is with KIND WORDS. Don’t let others control you with anger! Instead, control them with kindness!

I hope this crochet fruit roundup inspires you in more ways than gettin’ fruity for summer! As you scroll and ooh and aah and add projects to that WIP list, may these fruity patterns remind you that if this world needs anything right now…
…it’s a little more sweetness!
Crafty Lemon Pillow
It’s not summer without refreshing lemonade, amiright? Let’s kick off this crochet fruit roundup with our first free crochet pattern, the Crafty Lemon PEEL-o by Ashley right here at A Crafty Concept! I just love how she makes words and patterns so much fun! This pillow is so perfect for a porch or patio chair and it’s great for beginners!
You can easily follow this same pattern and make different fruits by changing the yarn colors. Orange yarn to make an orange slice pillow, green yarn for a lime slice, and pink yarn to make a grapefruit pillow!
I wonder how easy it would be to turn it into a kiwi slice?
Plush Pineapple Pillow
Of course, it can’t be a summer fruit roundup without…PINEAPPLES!!! Give me all the pineapple-y things! They are my specialty, after all. The Plush Pineapple Pillow pattern was one of my earlier designs, and I even included a color chart, a C2C tutorial, AND a tassel-making tutorial! It looks great as a decorative pillow on the front porch since pineapples are the fruit of hospitality!

Plush Pineapple Appliqué
This Plush Pineapple Appliqué, my friends, is one of my pride and joy designs. I have seen my followers slap it on anything and everything you could think of! I originally designed it to go with The Everything Cozy pattern by Kathy of Kathy’s Kozies (peep the adorable matching buttons she made), but it goes with so much more! I’ve seen it on a summer front door wreath, baby onesie, and toddler overalls to name a few!
The best thing about this pattern is you only need scrap yarn to make it!
Kawaii Strawberry
Look at this little Kawaii Strawberry by Spin a Yarn! Did you squeal when you saw it? I did! You could totally make this scented by adding some oils or potpourri when stuffing it! It would make a cute key chain, or you could make a set of them and sell them in a little basket as a kids toy strawberry set!

Crochet Strawberry Hat
I mean, what in the world? How much cuter can a crochet baby item be than a strawberry hat with leaves on the top? Repeat Crafter Me has some genius patterns and this Strawberry Hat is one of them. It’s perfect for newborn pictures and for protecting a baby’s delicate head in the summer sun! I love how she used white yarn to make the little strawberry seeds.
Pineapple Keychain
Loving me some more PINEAPPLE-y patterns! Here’s another adorable key chain pattern by Spin a Yarn. Look at that diamond trellis stitch detail!
