Every year (since 2021), I release a content calendar that is packed full of all the info you need to promote and market your crochet business all year long.

If you’re a paper-and-pen kinda gal, I have some good news for you! This year we are offering a physical printed version of the content calendar!

I am obsessed with this thing. The cover is so soft and rubbery and the paper is perfect for writing on. Your pen writes across it so smoothly!

Now let’s jump into what you can find inside and learn how to use it efficiently. We want this calendar to help you save time, plan your content in advance, and be consistent all year long for 2023!

Now let’s take a closer look at the 2023 Content Calendar for Crocheters

The soft cover has a rubbery matte finish and is 8.5 inches wide by 11 inches long.

It is super flexible because it’s not a hardback and light weight. I wanted it to be something that was practical to carry around with you.

When you first open the planner you will see the “Hey Maker” page. I highly suggest reading this page!

I give some “best practices” for how to get the most out of your content calendar so you can work SMARTER not HARDER.

There’s even a QR code that will take you directly to the walk-through video if you need a refresher throughout the year.

The next page is the Table of Contents and your Year at a Glance.

The Year at a Glance page was a great suggestion by a friend over on Instagram, so we made sure to include that in this year’s planner!

Next up we have another new addition to this year’s planner- the Yearly Goals section!

The first page features an example of how to use the yearly goal section, and the next page is blank for you to fill out.

There are 4 big goal sections so you can have 1 big goal per quarter.

Think about what goal you have for the first quarter of the year (January-March).

It might be something like getting organized or putting new systems in place to help you be more efficient throughout the year.

Once you have your big goal, use the lines area to break it up into smaller, easier-to-achieve steps. Creating these smaller actionable steps will help you reach your big goal more efficiently.

On the next page, you will find the IG Crash Course! This is another new addition.

The IG Crash Course is a digital freebie I have offered in the past here on the blog. I thought it would be helpful to include it in the content calendar so you can have all your content planning tools in the same place.

Smarter not harder…. are you seeing the theme yet?

The IG Crash Course is a beginner’s guide to succeeding on Instagram. It’s a quick read so glance over it even if you’re confident in your gram game.

There might be something int here that you haven’t thought of before.

After that, we have another new addition, Branding 101. This resource talks all about building the brand of your dreams for your crochet business.

We go over what is a brand, why it’s important, and how to curate it so it best serves your business.

It includes a worksheet to help you really look deep and start organizing all those thoughts bouncing around in your head.

Speaking of organizing thoughts, on the next page we have our Notes section!

I would like to encourage you to take advantage of these pages when you are doing anything for your business.

Taking notes is extremely important for helping your brain absorb and retain the information you are taking in. And keeping all your “business growing” assets in one place will help you stay organized!

On the left-hand page, you will find information about the month.

Trends is a brief overview of what things are top of mind for people during that month. What are people focusing on or prioritizing this time of year and how can your business help them?

The Content Ideas section is where we take the trends info and start brainstorming how a crochet business can help its audience during this specific month.

The Pattern Suggestions area is just what it sounds like. Free crochet patterns, here on the ACC blog, that can help you serve your ideal customer, based on that month’s trends and content ideas.

The Action Step section is a new section we added to the calendar this year.

This is one easy thing you can do each month to work ON your business. As entrepreneurs, we have been tasked with our regular work. Like showing up on social media, getting orders out the door, and customer service. But we also have to work ON our business if we want to grow.

Thats where the Action Step section comes into play.

Then we have the Up Next section. This gives you a snapshot peek into what people are going to be focusing on next month. That way you can start crocheting products and drafting content for what’s coming next.

You may have noticed that there is a QR code on a lot of pages throughout this planner.

Each QR code will take you to the digital copy of that specific page. Once you’re on the digital copy everything is clickable. All the pattern suggestions, resource recommendations, video tutorials, everything on that page is now clickable and you can seamlessly get to anything you need.

On the right side page, you have your calendar view for the month.

This is where you will see holidays, social media holidays, and monthly themes (like Book Lover’s Month), all organized in a calendar view.

I highly suggest going through the entire year, when you first get your content calendar and inserting any dates/themes that are important to you and your brand.

I can’t possibly write down every single thing. There wouldn’t be a content calendar big enough and there aren’t enough hours in the day to do that.

Also included on this page is a small Notes section and a Monthly Tracker section.

These are here to, again, help you stay organized.

Use the Notes section to write down any month-specific thoughts that pop into your mind while going over that month’s content.

Use the Tracker Section to track any analytics that are important to you. If growing your IG following is one of your big goals in 2023, the Tracker Section will help you visually see any changes each month.

Spoiler alert, there’s a tracker comparison section at the end of this calendar.

The next page is a full blank sheet designated for notes, lists, doodles, thoughts, braindumps, sketches, anything you need month-specific space for.

After the notes section, the next page is Pattern Content Ideas. On this page I give you specific content ideas you can use to promote products each month in a way that will resonate with your ideal customer.

The easier you can make your audience see the need for your product, the more sales you will get. If they say “oh that’s cute, but IDK what I would use it for”, you’ve lost them.

You want to make it crystal clear on how this product will raise their quality of life. That way they go “oh I need that” and purchase without hesitation.

The QR code at the bottom will, again, take you to the digital copy of this page. That is where all the pictures are clickable and will take you directly to that free crochet pattern here on the A Crafty Concept blog.

After February you will find these pages with information about Crochet Boss Academy!

These pages will give you some brief info on what Crochet Boss Academy is and share a few testimonials from Bosses who have already gone through the content.

Towards the end of the 2023 Content Calendar for Crocheters, you will find the End of Year Reflection.

And yes, this is another new addition.

The End of the Year Reflection is where you can look back on 2023 and make some assessments

What worked well for you that you want to do again in 2024?

What didn’t work so well that you either need to modify for next year or let go of it so you can focus on other things that help you reach your “why”.

Fill out this quick worksheet to help your brain and subconscious reflect on the year. This will help set you up for success in 2024.

Then you have the tracker comparison I mentioned previously. Write in your January stats and your December stats and look at the changes!

Sometimes change can happen so slowly it feels like it’s not happening at all. But when you look at it from a different perspective you really see how your hard work is paying off!
