Want to learn how to turn a picture into a sticker? In this tutorial I’ll show you how to create stickers from photos that you can sell in your shop.
A fun way to create a new line of revenue in your crochet business is by adding cute stickers to your product line. But not just any stickers! You want them to be on brand and aligned with what your ideal customer likes. What’s more on brand than your actual crocheted pieces?
In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to create stickers of your crocheted plushies so you can add them to your shop and start making more money!

Here’s what you will need to turn a picture into a sticker
– iPad
– Apple Pencil
– Procreate App
Step 1: Take a well lit photo of your crochet plushie. Here’s what mine looks like.
Side Note: You can find the Crochet Pool Flamingo Floaty and Amigurumi Lamb patterns free here on the blog!
Step 2: Create a new Canvas inside of Procreate. I like to make mine 8.5″ by 11″ with a DPI of 300.
Step 3: Insert your picture into your Procreate Canvas
Step 4: Select the Monoline brush
Step 5: Adjust the stabilization of your brush (This will help you create smooth lines)
Step 6: Create a new layer and make sure it’s on top of your photo layer.
Optional Step: You can lower the opacity of the photo layer by tapping the layer (in the layers menu) with two fingers. Then adjust the toggle left to right to change the opacity.
Step 7: Begin tracing your image then color it in with your desired colors.
Pro Tips
- You can drag and drop the color circle onto your canvas to fill in an entire area on that layer.
- You can select colors from your original photo by holding your finger down on the color you want to use.
Step 8: After you trace your photo and have everything the way you like it, save the image as a PDF with a transparent background.
Time to get your stickers printed.
I use Sticker Mule for all my sticker printing needs. Their quality is amazing every time. If you want to see how to print and cut your stickers at home, I showed that process in this tutorial.
Sticker Mule runs sales all the time where you can purchase 50 stickers for only 29.00. If you create an account and sign up for the emails, you’ll get notified the next time they have a sale!
It’s very user-friendly, and I’m 95% sure they’ll add an outline to your sticker for you. If you need to add your own outline you can do that on Procreate. I show how to do it in the other sticker tutorial linked above.
I hope you loved this tutorial on how to turn a picture into a sticker and found it easy to follow. Adding stickers to your product line is a great way to grow your business and raise your revenue! Best of luck to you, friend! I wish you all the success!
