The company MUNBYN reached out to me recently and asked if they could send me one of their thermal label printers. As soon as I realized there was a pink option it was an immediate yes for me!

A thermal label printer was the first “big purchase” I made after starting my crochet business in 2016 and I truly believe it has made my life a million times easier!

In this post, I am going to tell you all about the MUNBYN Thermal Label Printer and how you could use it in your crochet business.

The biggest benefit for me, at the time, was how much time I was saving! Before I got my thermal printer I was printing and taping paper shipping labels to each package. Not only did it take a while it was also very loud, this wasn’t ideal because I had a sleeping 2-year-old at the time!

Using a thermal printer for printing Etsy shipping labels was a game-changer for me for sure.

Here are some 4×6 shipping labels on Amazon.

Another amazing way thermal label printers, like the pink one sent to me from MUNBYN is all the branding possibilities!

Branding is so important. As a small business, your branding is like your signature. It’s the thing people remember about you. It’s that special touch that transforms your crochet business into a recognizable experience for your customers – it’s what sets you apart from other businesses and makes you look professional.

About the MUNBYN Thermal Label Printer

The MUNBYN Shipping Label Printer is a great inexpensive printer to help level up your crochet business.

You can print your shipping labels, product labels, barcodes if you do markets, or branding stickers all from one printer!

The print quality is great, there are no gaps or faded parts in the printed labels. These labels can print in high resolution (203 dpi – 300 dpi) which means you’ll have great-quality images. There’s also no replacement ink or toner to buy. If you have a lot of bulk orders to ship, or you want to create thank you stickers to close your packages, this printer can print 72 labels per minute! That’s incredibly fast.

Another great thing about this printer is it has Bluetooth capability and if you get the MUNYBN app you can print from your mobile device. This is perfect for printing Etsy shipping labels from your phone.

The stickers are great too! They come in so many different colors and shapes so you can customize them to your brand. They’re affordable for small businesses and are even waterproof! They’re sustainable, BPA Free, and oil-proof. The labels are strong and, my favorite part, they come in so many adorable colors and shapes that are perfect to create custom things.

You could of course use them to make shipping labels but there’s so much more this printer can do!

You could make:

  • Thank you Stickers: To stick on the outside of your packages.
  • Happy mail stickers: Who doesn’t love happy mail? These make any package feel fancy.
  • Logo stickers: You can add your logo to your packaging or to your printable labels or tags to customize your branding.
  • Care instruction labels: Tell customers how to wash or care for their crochet makes.
  • Fiber content labels: Create labels that tell your customers what type of fiber you used in your make.
  • Customized bag labels: If you’re selling your crochet makes at a market, put a label on the front of your paper bags to create branded shopping bags for your customers.
  • Price tag labels: Instead of writing on all of your pricing tags, you can simply print out all of your prices and hang them from your products.
  • Free Gift QR Codes: If you have a newsletter you could create a sticker that features a QR code to your email sign-up landing page!

These are just a few ideas, but there are so many things you can create or make to highlight your brand and small business.

How to set up the MUNBYN Thermal Label Printer

Setting up the MUNBYN printer is extremely simple. All you do is plug it into your wall and computer, flip on the power switch, then follow the instructions via the URL provided with your printer.

The first thing the instructions say to do is download the driver, open it, then install it on your computer. After installation is complete you can remove the installer from your computer.

Now you can choose the MUNBYN printer from your print menu and start printing. It’s really that simple!

How to use the MUNBYN

Once you get everything set up you can start printing. You would use it just like any other printer.

Push the open button on the printer and insert your labels label side up. Close your printer and it should align itself.

Your stack of labels will have to sit behind your printer so make sure there’s room on your desk. If this isn’t ideal for your specific desk set up you can purchase a label holder that might make it easier.

To print a 4×6 shipping label select MUNBYN from the printer destination drop down and select 100 x 150 mm for the paper size drop down.

If you want to print on 2″ round sticker paper you open the printer back up, remove your 4×6 labels and pinch the two black plastic bits to adjust the size of the labels being used. Squeeze them in together right up next to your 2″ round sticker paper.

In your printer window, select choose 2″ by 2″ for your paper size and hit print.

I did notice when printing circle labels the design was off-center. I followed all the troubleshooting recommendations provided by MUNBUN but it still didn’t fix the issue. The best fix I could come up with was making my actual sticker design on Canva off-center.
