Holiday Wreath Crochet Pattern

Hook:
5.00mm (H) Crochet Hook
Yarn:
Medium (4) Weight Yarn in Green and Red 
(Sample Wreath was made with- I Love This Yarn in Light Sage and Red)
   Green: 51 yards 
   Red: 5 yards
Other:
8” metal hoop (can substitute with any size)
Tapestry needle
Scissors

ST(s) – Stitch(es)
SL ST – Slip Stitch
SK – Skip
CH – Chain
SC – Single Crochet
FSC – Foundation Single Crochet

Crochet Wreath Pattern

With Green Yarn- Attach yarn to the hoop. SC 110 around the hoop. Join. (See Photo A)

Row 1: CH 10. SL ST into the 2nd CH from the hook. *CH 4, SL ST into the base of the CH 4. SK next 2 CHs, SL ST in next CH*. Repeat ** until the end of the row and only 2 CHs remain. SK last 2 CHs and SL ST into the next SC around the hoop.

Row 2: CH 7. SL ST into 2nd CH from the hook. CH 4, SL ST into the base of the CH 4. SK next 2 CHs. SL ST in the next CH. CH 4, SL ST into the base of the CH 4. SK last 2 CHs and SL ST into the next SC around the hoop. (See Photo B)

Repeat Rows 1 & 2 around. When you reach the end of the last branch, join with a SL ST to the bottom of the first branch. Tie off yarn leaving a 6” long tail. Weave in end. Separate the branches so some are inside the wreath and some are on the outside. (See Photo C)

Move onto the bow.

Bow

Row 1:  Using Red Yarn- FSC 50.

Tie off yarn leaving a 6” long tail. Weave in tail end. Tie into a bow. (See Photo D)

Place bow onto the bottom of the wreath. Cut a 10” long strand of green yarn. Sew bow onto the wreath, working through the back of the bow and through the single crochet stitches of the wreath. (See Photo E) Secure with a few knots and weave in ends.
