Instead of customers simply picking out a Fidget Fish, imagine letting them choose their favorites and fill their own little “can of sardines.” So cute!

These labels are an easy way to add a little something extra to your Fidget Fish without adding a lot of extra work or expense.

Supplies I Used

Here are the exact supplies I use to print, cut, and package my Fidget Fish.

• Clear Party Favor Bags
• Cardstock
• Printable Sticker Paper
• Cricut Maker
• Cricut Cutting Mat
• Epson EcoTank ET-8500 Printer

You definitely don’t need all of these supplies to use the free labels! I’ll show you a no-sticker-paper option farther down too.

How to Make Fidget Fish Sardine Stickers With Cricut

I use the PNG version of my free Sardine Can Labels with Cricut Design Space to create perfectly cut stickers for my Fidget Fish packaging.

Here’s how I do it!

Step 1: Download the Free Sardine Label PNG

After signing up above, download the files and save the PNG version of the Sardine Can Product Tags to your device.

The PNG is the version we’ll use in Cricut Design Space.

Step 2: Upload the Sardine Labels to Cricut Design Space

Open Cricut Design Space and start a new project.

Click Upload, select the Sardine Can Label PNG you downloaded, and add it to your canvas.

Step 3: Size Your Sardine Labels

Next, resize your label to fit the packaging you’re using.

For the metal tins I use, I size my labels to 2.13in x 3.19in.

If you’re using different tins or bags, measure your packaging first and adjust the label size accordingly.

Step 4: Set Up Your Labels for Print Then Cut

Once your label is the correct size, duplicate it so you can fit multiple sardine stickers onto one sheet of sticker paper.

At this size, you can print up to 8 on one sheet of sticker paper.

Make sure the labels are set up as Print Then Cut images, then click Make.

Pro Tip: if you copy and paste 8 labels, Cricut Design Space will automatically align them on the sheet for you.

Step 5: Print the Sardine Labels on Sticker Paper

Load your printable sticker paper into your printer and send your Print Then Cut project to print. Make sure you turn on the “bleed” option.

I use my Epson EcoTank ET-8500 to print mine.

I love how bright and crisp the labels come out, especially when they’re printed on sticker paper.

Step 6: Cut the Sardine Labels With Your Cricut

Place your printed sticker sheet onto your Cricut cutting mat and load it into your machine.

For my sticker paper, I use the Base Material Sticker Paper, Removable and Default pressure.

Let your Cricut do its thing, and you’ll end up with a whole sheet of perfectly cut Sardine Can Stickers!

Now that your Sardine Can Stickers are printed and cut, it’s time for the fun part… using them to package and market your crochet Fidget Fish!

Here are a couple of my favorite ways to use them.

Use Fidget Fish Sardine Labels on Metal Tins

Okay, this is the idea that started it all!

Peel one of your stickers from the sheet and stick it right onto the top of a small metal tin.

Fill the tin with your crochet Fidget Fish and suddenly you have your own little can of sardines.

These would be so fun for craft markets.

You could package the fish ahead of time, OR create a little Sardine Can Station where customers can choose their favorite Fidget Fish and fill their own tin.

There are so many fun possibilities!

Use Sardine Can Labels on Clear Party Favor Bags

You don’t have to use metal tins!

These Sardine Can Labels also look SO cute on inexpensive clear party favor bags.

Just add a few Fidget Fish to the bag, seal it up, and add a Sardine Can Sticker to the front.

This is a super simple option if you’re making a lot of crochet Fidget Fish to sell at craft markets, give as gifts, or use as party favors.

It also gives you the same fun sardine packaging look without needing a metal tin for every set of fish.

No Sticker Paper? Print the Labels on Cardstock!

You do not need sticker paper or a Cricut to use these free Sardine Can Labels!

You can print the PDF version onto regular cardstock and cut the labels out with scissors. 

If you’re using clear party favor bags, try:

• Sliding a printed Sardine Can Label inside the bag
• Stapling the label to the top of the bag
• Punching a hole in the label and tying it onto the bag like a gift tag

It’s an inexpensive and easy way to create cute Fidget Fish packaging with supplies you may already have at home.

Make Your Own Fidget Fish
